Boston is such a great music city, thought I would share some of my favorite bands from Beantown today as the city looks for some normalcy!!
It’s going to be a great week! I feel it in my bones. Thus I thought I would kick it off with a solid, good ol’ fashioned, rockin’ tune from my past. Van Halen’s “Runnin’ With the Devil.” Remember the days when bands actually had guitar solos?? Still one of the coolest album covers.
I can’t believe this song is 35 years old already…
Make it a great week! Enjoy!
The playoff got a little biblical Sunday as Australia’s Adam Scott defeated Argentina’s Angel Cabrera…well maybe that’s a little heavy!
Congrats to Adam Scott for being the first Aussie ever to win the Masters! No ghosts of Greg Norman, the Shark, in 2013. Cabrera played great in the two hole playoff but Scott took it from him on a brilliant putt. Thats the way you like to see a major won.
A musical tribute, in honor of the Australian victory…We Salute You!!!
Can’t even imagine what song I would’ve had to pick if Tiger Woods won???
This was a cool way to kick off a Thursday! Watching KNSD 7/39 News and hearing my song, “Day at the Beach,” on their broadcast.
Try your favorite online music player to hear the song. I believe it is on Rhapsody not sure where else…but, let me know where you find it! For those of you so inclined to buy check out the ITunes link on the side widget===========>>

Happy birthday to guitar man Eric Clapton, 68 today!
What is your favorite Clapton song? Are you a Cream fan, Derek & the Dominos, late to the party and love songs like “Tears in Heaven?”
I would have to say one of my all time favorite Clapton songs isn’t even a Clapton song. It’s the Beatles, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” Yep, for those of you who did not know EC is the axe man on that incredible slide guitar solo.
The first song I ever knew by Clapton was, “Lay Down Sally,” so that is what I included here.
Enjoy!
Sad day in the music world even sadder in the percussion community!
Robert Zildjian an iconic figure in the world of percussion, most notably all things cymbals, passed away at age 89, just a couple months before his 90th birthday in July.
Perhaps as big a loss to the percussion world as 2012’s loss of Jim Marshall to the guitar world. Maybe even bigger if you figure the genres Zildjian products crossed from Metal, Rock, Classical, Jazz, Marching Band….on & on!
When musicians die we always say, ‘The band in heaven just got better!’ …Think about all the quality instruments they are now going to have!
RIP Robert Zildjian
