Happy Birthday Tony Gwynn, “Mr. Padre”
Wishing Tony Gwynn a happy birthday today. You may ask why a baseball player is being featured on a music website… If you follow this blog you probably know I am a huge sports fan. Growing up watching the San Diego Padres, was/is not much to root, cheer, (insert verb) for! But in 1982 along […]
Willie Nelson 80 Years Old Today, Happy Birthday!
Growing up a rocker I never had much interest in country music or Willie Nelson. In 2002 a movie called, “The Rookie,” was released. Dennis Quaid starred as an aging high school baseball coach who, egged on by his students, tried out for the big leagues and made it all the to MLBs Tampa Bay […]

Happy Birthday Eric Clapton, 68
Happy birthday to guitar man Eric Clapton, 68 today! What is your favorite Clapton song? Are you a Cream fan, Derek & the Dominos, late to the party and love songs like “Tears in Heaven?” I would have to say one of my all time favorite Clapton songs isn’t even a Clapton song. It’s the […]
Bob Marley, Happy 68th Birthday
Today, February 6, would have been legendary Reggae artist Bob Marley’s 68th birthday. His album “Legend” is one of the worlds ‘must have’ albums and I think it is even required to be owned in certain states…(or certain states of mind) lol Peace BM! Here is a classic live video version of No Woman No […]
Happy Birthday Joe Walsh, 65, Life’s Been Good

Happy Birthday Sting!
Sting is 61? It can’t be! It’s really not cool of all these rock stars to keep aging, because as they get older…I am one step behind them. Anyway, October 2, Sting bassist and vocalist for the Police did just that…turned 61. I guess it beats the alternative. I had the honor of seeing The […]
Happy Birthday, Rush’s Geddy Lee Turns 59 Today!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANiaZvdGO8U
Cant believe all my childhood music heroes are in their 60′ & 70’s already! C’mon Paul McCartney is 70?? Although he sure didint look it at his Olympic opening ceremony performance the other night, he still looks young.
Anyway, Happy Birthday to Rush bassist/singer Geddy Lee…who is turning 59 today! Hold on to that last year of your 50’s!!! Still rockin out as well. Rush’s 2012 release Clockwork Angels is their best album in years. Somewhat of a return to their heavier roots.
Have a good one Geddy!

Michael Schenker, Bridge the Gap Setlist & Concert Review
This past Saturday night, legendary rock/metal guitarist once again brought his Flying V’s to San Diego. This time out in the sticks a bit to the Ramona Main Stage. Seeing Schenker, one of my earliest and greatest musical influences, is always special and never a let down. The man can play! Plus, in the ‘stranger […]
